I’ve been creating wire wrapped jewelry since 2007. It started as a simple hobby, but it has grown into an integral part – you could say a love – of my life.
Designing and creating a piece are like drawing, only in three actual dimensions. The wire seems to emerge from thin air, bending and twisting. It’s sometimes easy to work with, as it flows like smoke between your fingers. Other times it’s a real struggle, as if you were trying to tame a dozen angry little dragons that scratch and bite and resist your every move. I think it’s worth it. I hope you do too.
Here are a few pieces I made – you’ll find more in my Etsy shop.
